    Timeframe: Requests should be made at least 10 business days prior to the event. Requests received after this period will be honored when feasible.

    Requests should include:

    -Name of the participant

    -Course title and date

    -Description of the accommodation(s) requested

    -Any relevant documentation (if comfortable providing)

    Confidentiality

    All requests and related information will be kept confidential and shared only with personnel directly involved in implementing the accommodation.

  • Cancellation/Refund Policy

    I. In-Person CEU Courses

    Cancellation by Participant:

    • Participants may cancel their registration for an in-person course at least 7 calendar days prior to the scheduled event to receive a full refund.

    • Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance will not be eligible for a refund, but may be transferred to another course or participant at the discretion of the Head of Education and Outreach.

    To cancel:

    • Email your request to Jennifer.robertson@apcok.com with your full name, course title, and registration details.

    Cancellation by APC:

    • In the event that The Auditory Processing Clinic cancels an in-person course due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, registered participants will be notified promptly and will receive a full refund or may choose to apply the payment to a future course.

    II. On-Demand CEU Courses

    All purchases of on-demand CEU courses are final.

    • Due to the immediate access provided to course materials, no refunds will be issued once an on-demand course is purchased.

    • Participants are encouraged to review course descriptions, objectives, and technical requirements carefully before purchasing.

  • Non-Discrimination Policy

    I. Purpose

    This policy outlines the standards of professional conduct expected of all employees, contractors, volunteers, and CEU presenters affiliated with The Auditory Processing Clinic, and affirms our commitment to providing a respectful, inclusive, and discrimination-free environment for clients, families, and colleagues.

    II. Scope

    This policy applies to:

    -Clinical staff

    -Administrative personnel

    -Contracted CEU presenters

    -Volunteers and interns

    -Any individual representing The Auditory Processing Clinic in a professional capacity

    III. Professional Conduct

    All personnel are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism in behavior, communication, and clinical or educational practice. This includes:

    -Acting with integrity, honesty, and respect at all times.

    -Protecting client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and applicable state laws.

    -Providing services and instruction based on evidence-based practices and current professional standards.

    -Avoiding conflicts of interest and disclosing any potential bias when presenting educational content.

    -Modeling ethical behavior, including adherence to ASHA’s Code of Ethics (or relevant licensing board standards).

    -Using inclusive, people-first language in both written and spoken communication.

    IV. Non-Discrimination Policy

    V. Reporting and Enforcement

    Anyone who experiences or witnesses conduct that violates this policy is encouraged to report it to the Head of Clinical Operations or Client Services Coordinator. Reports may be made confidentially and without fear of retaliation.

    Violations of this policy may result in:

    -Verbal or written warnings

    -Removal from CEU instructor eligibility

    -Termination of employment or contractual agreement

    -Referral to relevant licensing or professional boards

    VI. Commitment to Equity and Inclusion

    We strive to create an environment where all individuals feel valued, heard, and respected. As part of this commitment, we provide regular staff training on cultural competence, accessibility, and inclusive practices.
